Free Beer for a Year!!!*

Excellent, now that I have your attention I shall proceed.

Next year I am taking on a massive challenge which you all need to know about. There is a new website that Alan at ASU IT Web design (www.asuweb.co.uk) has kindly built for me which contains loads of information about the event. Please check it out here. www.tohellandback.co.uk

Here is an outline for you as a little taster....ready

The Challenge

IM resize

On the 2nd May I will start cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats and then back down to Brathay on the northern shores fo Lake Windermere. I have allowed myself 10 days for this secton of the challenge. That's going to equate to an average of 135 miles a day, every day, for 10 days. If I am lucky it will take me 8-9 hours of riding plus breaks, if not it could be a nightmare 12+ hours in the saddle.

It's going to hurt......a lot

Once I make it back to Brathay I will be preparing myself to swim the length of Lake Windermere, an estimated distance of 10.5 miles in one day, I have no idea how long this is going to take me, it will be so dependant on the weather, how tired I am and how much energy I can replace whilst in the water.

It's going to be cold......very cold

The very next day I will be embarking on the Brathay 10 in 10, a marathon every day for 10 consecutive days, on the same undulating course route around Lake Windermere, hard enough on its own without having cycled and swam for 11 days beforehand, just off the scale if you have.

It's going to tough......very, very tough.

Please check out the website for more details, and if you can please donate, every penny goes to the charity to help kids and young people in the Ulverston and Barrow area.

I wil also be doing a news letter that you may want to subscribe to, again via the website.

Thank You
