We are keen to try and use locally produced products wherever possible. We always try to have one brew from the Ulverston Brewery Company (always named after a Laurel and Hardy theme),Thwaites Original (a well liked session ale) and four other ales predominately from the local area. The pump clip on the right is for Celebration Ale-a brew specifically for the unveiling of the Laurel & Hardy statue in April 2009

This month the North LonsdaleAgricultural Show takes place. I believe it's situated on the Bardsea Road. Also the Ulverston Carnival takes place on the first saturday in July. An event that is usually celebrated with the arrival of The Sons Of The Desert tent from Birmingham and occasionally Stan & Ollie lookalikes.

If the weather behaves, an evening of rivers of light weaving through the streets of Ulverston bringing to an end the celebration of Ulverstons Charter Festival, a two week long celebration with lots happening in the town including one of the most important events of the year. The Ulverston Beer Festival, takes place in The Coronation Hall and is a roaring sucess with bands on some nights and food available. Takes place during the first week of September.
November:-The Dickensian Festival. A weekend family event with festive stalls, street entertainment and lots of Victorian costumes to enjoy. Dressing up is a must for this very popular weekend.
